Privacy Policy

Qamara is a period and cycle tracker made by novità ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Qamara app and this website.

The short version

We do not collect, store, sell or share any of your personal data. Everything you log in Qamara stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We cannot see it.

What you log in the app

Period dates, flow, symptoms, mood, notes and other entries you make are stored:

  • On your iPhone, in the app's private storage.
  • In your private iCloud database, if you are signed in to iCloud. This lets your data move to a new iPhone. It is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to it. Turning on Apple's Advanced Data Protection adds end-to-end encryption.
  • In a weekly backup file in the app's Documents folder, which you can see in the Files app and which is included in your normal iPhone backups.

What we collect

Nothing. Qamara has:

  • no user accounts or sign-in,
  • no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software,
  • no servers of its own that receive your data.

Apple may give developers anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics (such as download counts) and crash reports from users who chose to share them with developers in their iPhone settings. These do not include anything you log in Qamara.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself. No reminder content is sent to us or to any server.

Face ID

If you turn on the Face ID lock, Qamara asks iOS to check your identity. Qamara never receives your face data.

Importing and exporting

When you import a file (for example, a data export from another period app) or export a backup, the file is processed only on your iPhone. Where an exported file goes afterwards is up to you.

Deleting your data

In Qamara, go to Settings › Delete all data. This removes your entries from your iPhone and your iCloud. Deleting the app also removes the data stored on your device; backup files you saved elsewhere stay where you put them.

Children

Qamara does not collect personal information from anyone, including children and teens.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking for visitors. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to download them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. We will never change Qamara to collect your health data.
